I can answer that.
Several huge factors played into the nightmare of Trump being elected.
1. The American people, Democrat and Republican both, had long felt, and known, that the politicians that had been elected, and reelected throughout our lifetimes, never, not once, did anything actually for the American people, and we all began to realize that. It was obvious that those politicians said whatever it is they needed to say, to be elected to positions in the government that they aspired to, regardless of whether or not they actually had the intentions of actually fulfilling those promises. Year after year, election after election, we voted for whoever lied the best, fully hoping that they would at least do one or two things they promised, well aware that it was rare, but we remained hopeful.
2. When Bush clearly lied about WMDs, and got us into a war, I believe at that moment, everything changed. The media showed the American people that Bush's war was for nothing less than profit, and revenge.
People, although aware of this, voted their party, regardless of who the best candidate was, continuing the cycle of lies and deceit.
Lessons again learned, politics began to change.
3. Obama was elected by the black population across our country, with them feeling like someone, for the first time, had their backs, and would no longer disregard their wants and desires for this country. This really pissed off the old white gaurd, the entitled, selfrighteous racist establishment that had held power since George Washington became Predident, and because of that, scumbags like Mitch McConnell made it clear that they would do everything to stop Obama from being successful during his Presidency. Those of us that arent racist, saw Obama as someone who might actually look out for all Americans, and change the norm at the White House....
4. Enter Donald Trump. An infamous liar, cheat and corrupt New York Real Estate Conman, these traits were pretty unknown by the majority of the country. Those that voted for him did so, because they were either hardcore racists that wanted Obama gone, or because they believed that Trump, who was not another typical self-serving politician, would actually change the way the political game was played, or, as I firmly believe, a combination of both...and thats exactly why they voted for him.
The majority of them had heard of Trump before, and saw him as a very successful businessman, who would not only change the political game, but had their best interests at heart.
They were conned.
Those on television and across the country that openly stated there was no way that Trump would be elected, were the people who actually knew Trump for who he really is, rather than the persona he portrays to everyone else. What they chose to ignore is the fact that the majority of Americans that voted for him were NOT aware of his past, and were desperate to have someone they believed was on their side as the President.
5. Then, there was Hillary Clinton. A lifetime politician, just like every politician in the White House. Had she been a new face, instead of a lifelong politician, she very well may have fared better in the elections...even though the old gaurd were hellbent on not having a woman as President.
She garnered a strong turnout, especially by women, who, just as clueless, like Trump supporters, didnt know much about her politics, but chose her for her gender instead.
The female vote wasnt enough to override the wants of the majority of the country who had never actually felt like they were represented before, and their willingness to be heard.
Trump is, and has always been a master at manipulation and deception, and he used that to garner the votes of every middle and lower class American across the country who were desperate for change.
Then the nightmare began.
The maga cult that support him are the majority of undereducated people across the country, that refuse to acknowledge his lies, corruption, failures and blatant manipulation of them, no matter how obvious it is.
He turned the downtrodden into a cult of personality, and much like the manson family, they treat him like he is a god, because theyre too ignorant to see him for who he actually is, and has always been.
Democrats, and Republicans turned out in droves, all across the country, people like my wife and myself who had never voted before, to cast our votes, in hopes of ridding this country of the orange menace, and replace him with anyone who ran against him.
Thats how Biden won.
A helluva lot of the Trump Cult is either dying off, some due to their ignorant stance on vaccinations, or because theyre actually beginning to see what a liar and grifting scumbag Trump really is...
He can run again, but he simply doesnt have the numbers or support that he had in 2016.
We all saw the trainwreck for 4 years, and we Democrats will turn out again, 82 million strong or more, to assure that Trump, or anyone like him, will never be elected again.

I remember Trump mocking a disabled reporter.
I remember when he raped his ex-wife Ivana.
I remember him admitting on tape that he likes to sexually assault strange women, and being able to get away with it, because he's "famous".
I remember him perving on his daughter, Ivanka.
I remember videos of him partying with Jeffrey Epstein, talking about how much they both like young girls.
I remember when he wished his sex trafficking friend Ghislane Maxwell well after she was arrested.
I remember him ignoring the covid pandemic, because he was more concerned with his approval ratings.
I remember when he suggested everyone inject bleach into themselves to fight covid.
I remember him wanting to use a nuclear bomb to stop a hurricane.
I remember when he had an affair with a porn star while his wife was at home pregnant.
I remember him paying $130,000 to silence her about the affair.
I remember him lying about the border problem while he was in office.
I remember when he called all immigrants rapists and drug addicts.
I remember him lying over 30,000 times while in office.
I remember when all of the world leaders at NATO laughed in his face.
I remember seeing him from behind at his golf course, where he shit himself.
I remember him taking credit for the economy that Obama made.
I remember him taking credit for a vaccine that he had nothing to do with. I remember him lying about covid, saying it was just like the flu.
I remember him inciting violence at his maga hate rallies.
I remember him inciting an insurrection against the U.S Capitol, trying to overthrow an American election...
but I dont remember any good that he did.
In the days and weeks after the 2020 elections, Fox News Channel repeatedly broadcast false claims that then-President Donald Trump had been cheated of victory.
Off the air, the network's stars, producers and executives expressed contempt for those same conspiracies, calling them "mind-blowingly nuts," "totally off the rails" and "completely bs" — often in far earthier terms.
The network's top primetime stars — Tucker Carlson, Laura Ingraham and Sean Hannity — texted each other contemptuously of the claims in group chats, but also denounced colleagues pointing that out publicly or on television.
Ingraham called Trump campaign attorney Sidney Powell "a bit nuts." Carlson, who famously demanded evidence from Powell on the air, privately used a vulgar epithet for women to describe her. A top network programming executive wrote privately that he did not believe the shows of Carlson, Hannity and Jeanine Pirro were credible sources of news.
Even so, top executives strategized about how to make it up to their viewers — among Trump's strongest supporters — after Fox News' election-night team correctly called the pivotal state of Arizona for Democratic nominee Joe Biden before other networks. A sense of desperation.
Did you conveniently forget about:
1. The hush-money case, one of several potential criminal cases that Trump faces ?
2. along with an investigation into election tampering and interference in Georgia,
3. and the investigation of his storage of stolen classified documents at his Florida home,
4. or him Inciting an insurrection against the United States ?
5. or his charge of Conspiracy to commit fraud against the United States
6. and the rape of E. Jean Carroll... ?
