The "smart, really educated people in our society" went to college, and worked full or part time jobs in the meantime, but like the rest of us, struggle to make ends meet. It's harder for them because of their schooling and work schedules. Higher Education should be free in a country as modernized as ours. Imagine if 2/3 of the population had college degrees and the difference it would make in all of our lives. Don't demonize people for wanting a better life for themselves ...
