My brother had a friend, and that friend, and his girlfriend, moved in with my brother. after a month, the boyfriend just disappears, leaving the girlfriend still living there.
the girlfriend, the accomplice in this murder, and my brother, ended up getting together.
my brother was waiting for a large insurance settlement check he had coming from a fall off of a house on a construction site.
Haley Barber, the girl, brought her “friend”, Leo Moore, the murderer, to my brothers house and asked if he could stay, which, apparently my brother agreed to.
a few weeks go by, he gets the check, and they killed him for it…
they both stabbed him to death, wrapped his body in a rug and sheets, then they stuffed him into a closet, for 3 days,
while they partied together in his house, before someone reported the smell coming from his apartment.
cops show up, smelled death, went in and found my brother, did some investigating and found out that his car, a 2001 Mercedes, was missing.
they put out an APB on them, found them, they lead the cops on a short chase, then jumped out of the car and ran on foot, where the cops caught them.
they confessed.
