Years ago, a friend of mine and I were having lunch together, at work, (he was a Muslim, who had moved here from Iraq), and we were talking about the Ramadan 30 day fasting ritual he was about to start, ....and I, like an idiot, asked him why he believes in Allah, and his religion of Islam? rather than answer my question, he thought for about 10 seconds and asked me: "Why do you believe in god and Christianity?" Rather than make myself look any further the idiot, I thought about it for a minute while eating my pizza.... then, realizing the REAL REASON WHY i believed in it, I answered: "Coz thats what I was raised to believe" He was eating as well, and waited about 30 seconds before he replied: "I believe what I believe for the very same reason, hmmm" it was time to get back to work. Come to find out later, he & I had both continued to think about the brief conversation we had, throughout the rest of our day. While at home, I couldnt get the thought of it outta my head, so I turned to my Wife, who was a christian also, and asked her: "honey, why do you believe in god"? after a strange look from her, we had quite a long conversation, that lead both of us to realize, that we both believe in the christian god because thats the one we were raised to believe in, mostly, because of our geographical position on the planet, both realizing that, had we been born in Afghanistan, Iraq, Saudi Arabia,Turkey, etc... that we would be muslims, instead of christians, and had we been born in India, we would be Sihks or Buddhists, etc... had we been born in Japan, theres an Emperor we would call god, etc etc etc... well, it didnt take a rocket scientist to figure out that the gods we worship, are 'indigenous' to where we are on the planet. THIS WAS A SHOCK TO THE SYSTEM AND WENT AGAINST EVERYTHING WE WERE TAUGHT TO BELIEVE I decided, because the indoctrination in me was pretty deeply seated, that I needed to figure out WHICH GOD WAS REAL.., rather than actually thinking like an adult, and realizing that theyre all the very same... I spent the next 6 years learning about the real world we live in, learning about evolution, the cosmos, biology, and finally realizing that there actually is proven evidence for reality, and not a shred of evidence for any of the ridiculous, plagiarized stories in the jewish-based bible, ...and thats when reality hit me like a ton of bricks... I cried for 3 days, out of relief, anger, disappointment, and eventually had to accept the fact that gods arent real, there is no heaven or hell, Im not gonna see any dead relatives when I die, and the short 70+ years we have on this planet, is all we have, and its time to make the most of it, ...without fear of some 1st Century dead jew... simple as that. on another note, after discussing this same stuff with my Iraqi friend for over a year, he became Atheist as well. Today, with computers, and the knowledge of the entire world at ones fingertips, to remain ignorant about anything, especially religion and gods, is a personal, and foolish choice. I have a personal relationship with REALITY PEACE TO YOU

No, I do not appeal to a mythical dead jew to intervene when life turns into a shit-storm, rather, I use adult logic and reasoning and move forward to handle any diversity that may come my way...

Had you answered them, I wouldve continued to ask relative questions, allowing YOU to actually arrive at the correct conclusions...
