The standard of living is much worse. 70% more expensive rents, 70-100% more expensive real estate, food is 2-3x(100-200%) more expensive, fuel is 2x more expensive, appliances and hardware is 1.5-2x more expensive, while salaries have increased by 20% since 2019.

Yeah, Europe isn't different than the USA, median homes cost 9-12x times the median salaries, while being 1.5x times smaller than 20 years ago(48-52m^2 now vs 74-78m^2 then). Their prices have gone up by 1.9-2.2x times for both the rents and real estate prices. Quality food and ironically fast food has gone up by 2-2.5x times too compared to 2021. Fuel and cars(both new and used) are now 1.5-1.7x times more expensive than 3 years ago. The things that haven't gone much in price are sugary foods, tobacco and alcohol... and some other irrelevant factors that don't really matter to people.

@User-54631 Until 100 years ago people lived communally, living with your parents is not bad as long as your parents are not bad. The first 6 months of me working I lived with my parents it was great, sadly I had to change cities.

The funny part of going to school and spending so much time on school AND then university, is that at the end of it, after 12-20 years of "education" you come out weak, stupid and useless, unless you've self-educated infinitely more than what the "education" system taught you and went to private courses.

And everyone has the curse of the "education" system. It wastes 12-20 years of people's lives and wastes their youth, while producing weak, stupid useless people. This goes doubly so for STEM. If kids were specialized through private courses and most importantly self-education, from the age of 12, in one engineering field, or one trade, or law or commerce, by the age of 16-20 they would be highly skilled and knowledgeable experts who would be able to work at a medium level position in their (sub)fields. I know a few dozen people, many of which close friends and acquaintances, that by the age of 22-24 are earning 3-7x the average salary, by ditching school as much as possible and doing what I described above.

Quality, healthy food like meat, dairy, vegetables and fruits is up by 100-150%(2-2.5x times). Rents and Real Estate are up 90-120%(1.9-2.2x times). Salaries are up 25-30%, the only thing that inflated 25-30%(1.25-1.3x times) are salaries... Fuel is up too by 1.7x times, cars are up by 50-70%(1.5-1.7x times)...

@bevvy.bee9 well the technology in many fields/areas has evolved to the point where it can't be worked by a single person. Otherwise yes, multiple businesses co-operating to achieve the same result as one big business is something I've thought of as well, but IDK how efficient that is and I'm probably missing a lot of variables. Another way that things can be improved is if 90-95% of the NET profit is given to the core employees of a company as a bonus at the end of each quarter. Or in general 90-95% of what the employee has made the company is what the employee earns and then you subtract the costs of the employee.

@bevvy.bee9 Your comment got deleted, but I read it. I too am majoring in computer science because I've loved computers since I was in kindergarten. Just a tip, university is NOT enough, self-educate and know at the very least 10-20x more than what you learn in university. University produces next to useless people. Even if you get hired, you'd start at the bottom as an intern or at best really low junior.

@bevvy.bee9 Well I've read books, watched some videos, but not his, If I've watched a video of his I never checked the channel, just like I haven't checked this channel I've come to many of the same conclusions on my own, but gave them different names. What economists call BS jobs, and that's a legit economic term btw, I called luxury jobs. Jobs where the services are basically a luxury to the people, not giving them any benefit nor any product/resource, but also a luxury to the ones working them as they are paid to be unproductive, unskilled and providing a pointless service.

@bevvy.bee9 Yeah I checked and I've watched his video on China's tutor problem, Chinese real estate crash and why rich people live 10 years longer on average. Also how do you send links without having comments deleted, you are the second person who has now sent me links without having their comment deleted, either youtube reverted deleting comments with links in them, or there is a way to send them without the comment being deleted.

My classmates ditched school as much as possible to go to private courses and self-educate, so they got an engineering job at 16-17 during high school or straight out of high school. Now at the age of 23-25 they earn 3-6 the average salary.
