  1.  @freedom_aint_free  Basically the more specific an integrated circuit is the more efficient it is at doing that set of specific tasks or singular task. So the most ASIC will be super fast at one thing, but won't be able to anything else. The opposite are FPGA(Field-Programmable Gate Array), which is even more general purpose than the CPUs we have. You can make it do almost everything.

  4.  @latorcognitio9369  Everything since the Penium-Pro has used micro-ops to make the all of the CISC x86 instructions from the decoders into RISC instructions and the Pentium-Pro was released at the same time as the K6. So that's pretty normal.
