  1. You aren't too dumb, you just haven't studied(not at school or uni) everyday for 5-7 years consistently with intent to learn and apply. The question is how much life do you want. And I'm an engineer, so I know. Nowadays that's the biggest question on my mind. Do I want to enjoy life or be a good engineer.

  4. Because they want profit and aren't in bed with the government to be guaranteed not losing their money is my guess. Still good for them.
