Well you were bound for another recession considering you literally changed nothing to avoid a new one.

I_Can See_You Is that why your debt increased to the ceiling this pandemic and why you need the EU to bail you again?

I_Can See_You because it's leverage and it's not caused due to war...

@costakeith9048 The other option is potential human extinction.

@costakeith9048 Most catastrophic viruses started very harmless but evolved, that's why viruses that easily spread are the most dangerous. For example, it's very hard to catch ebola, but it's very deadly, but due to how hard it is to get sick by ebola we don't close anything down, but covid19 is extremely easy to either become a carrier or get sick from and the worst part is, death isn't really the worst thing that can happen to you from covid at this stage.

@costakeith9048 Well 70% of the entire population being whipped out is quite the achievement. And back in the day people didn't travel as much, there were much fewer people and the population density was very, very low, considering that there were 80-90%+ fewer people and that centralization wasn't a thing.

@samobispo1527 covid? What covid? We'd be gone due to plummeting birthrates. XD

Well, that's what capitalism was invented to do, after all. All the other positives and many, many negatives are just side effects. We need a brand new economic system.

@artistaprimus7080 but they are the problem, not on purpose, but they are. And anyone with some financial sense will know how to manage big amounts of money. Invest in a 6-8 index funds and ETFs, invest in real estate, invest in land, invest in a few business offices and open a manufacturing plant. Guaranteed profits and then from there on you can spend the net profits and dividends on many things and even though billionaires have about 10% success rate, that's more than enough considering what they spend is usually practically guaranteed passive income of many millions and even billions.

@artistaprimus7080 I'd go for a wealth cap of 1 billion and the rest be taxed and scale the wealth cap with inflation from there on. Though personally, for me, even just a 2 million wealth cap scaled with inflation from here on out would be excellent.

@rismarksvej Ok, whoever did. That isn't the point.
