  1. Their build quality has been bad for almost 2 decades now, due to the "excellent" laws of Germany mandating that close to 70% of the car has to be bio-degradable... or something like that. So it was their engines that were very good and still are. And with china mass-producing what used to be called high-quality, luxurious interiors now, although they were always garbage, just visually pleasing, now even cheaper cars can have better-looking interiors. And the future is Hydrogen ICEs. Just look at Toyota's Hydrogen engine. The only waste is water vapor, greener than batteries 1000x times, and hydrogen is produced using ocean wave energy and watter. Which also cleans the excess water.
