  2. Dude the R8 is 1500kg and slightly higher horsepower than the GTR, the GTR is 1750kg and 15 horsepower lower. On top of that the R8 has it's peak torque through its entire RPM(above 1750RPM) power band, while the GTR has peak torque at 3500-5800 RPM(if I remember correctly), It would have been absolutely surprising if it won a stand still drag race.
