  2. ***** well I wouldn't put them there either, modern games have become too easy and not punishing, with no challange at all and easy gameplay, boring enemies and too much script.

  4. ***** well I've played 95-99% of the AAA titles that have ever been released, own both the last of us and red dead redemption and they are uber easy, new games are uber easy, not challenging and not punishing.

  5. ***** yes but these benefits come with highly scripted, too easy, not challenging, not punishing games with horrible AI. Games are meant for gameplay, mechanincs and good AI in general, not for graphics, story and plot, they are just bonuses... And btw I'm not an old gamer, I'm just 15 years old, and I've been playing games for 13 years now and I own every console from atari, sega, nintendo, sony and microsoft, except for the Wii, Wii U and xbox one, I don't like the Wii, I don't want the xbox one and the Wii U is stupidly expensive in my country, also I have 2 high-end gaming PCs, and over 500 games and I've played them all and personally 4th, 5th and 6th generations are my favorite ones.

Razorsand12 I always play the games on their hardest difficulty, or hardest avaliable difficulty, since some games have locked the hardest difficulty until you beat the game. dark souls is a hack and slash, hack and slash games are easy, it's basically dodge and wait for an opening. In dark souls for example in the beginning it's dodge, dodge, hit, when you progress, it's dodge, dodge, dodge hit a few times, dodge, dodge, dodge, it's really easy and I find the game really easy.

Joseph Linza Well I've already played the arcades, I just want better AI, it's not that much, they can give you guys the same difficulty, just want them to include a difficulty for me, so that I don't feel like pressing buttons/next to continue. And I like good stories and plots, just hate zombies, because they are walking potato sacks, post-apocalyptic plots because movies and games(especially movies) don't give you anything close to post apocalyptic most of the times.

  9. JT Nelson agreed, but the simplicity of Golden eye and the time it was released was the reason it was so popular.

  10. BlackValor93 it's not souls only, the basics of hack and slash are this: Dodge until you learn the attack pattern on the enemy. Wait for an opening. Attack as much as possible during the opening. And the dodge in dark souls is too overpowered.

BlackValor93 because I'm patient, I don't rush in, I let the every type of bad guy to do his full rotation 2-3 times, learn when he does what, and I'm always careful with my positioning, I've died of course, but only a few times. If you play the game the way I play it, you will most-likely be bored to death, but it's a "hardcore" game afterall, it's not really supposed to be fun.

  13. BlackValor93 and dodging in dark souls is overpowered, remove that and the game might be hard.

  14. BlackValor93 I like the game pretty much, I just find it's gameplay too basic and clunky. And IDK, but the dodging mechanic is OverPowered, without it the game would be more challenging for sure.

  15. BlackValor93 as I said I like the game a lot, and I've beaten it many, many times. I enjoy it, it's just some cosntructive criticism, the game is far from perfect, first it has to get harder, then make more fluid gameplay, and I'd like it if the story was longer. I don't find the fact that you die from a few hits hard, since they have to hit you to kill you and as it stands most bad guys have too slow attacks with too huge gaps for counter-attack, especially when you progress.
