@Bartonovich52 Why do you assume that Germany is the only country in Europe? Out of 44 countries. And cars are heavy thanks to the Swedes and the Americans and their dumb safety and emissions regulations... -_- Cars in the mid 80s to the end of the 90s were light and nimble, relatively powerful, yet economical. Now all cars are fat and heavy. The moment a hatchback weighs over 1000kg(2200lbs) you know it's just wrong. And I'd look at the bottom 40 states of the USA first, yeah you got NY, California, Texas, Washington and a few other economically well off states, but the rest are pretty down and out. And the fact that 57% of Americans don't have 500$ saved up... just speaks volume about how well off you guys are.

Here in Europe we aren't far off from them. 55% overweight and/or obese vs 70% overweight/obese and we are climbing to their level with every year.

@BruceCarbonLakeriver and Germans, and French and Spanish, and Slavs. South-eastern Europe here on the Balkans the overweight and/or obse rate is 53.7%...
