Palworld is NOT Pokemon. The gameplay, mechanics and systems are nothing alike. The only thing they have in common is that they have cutsie monsters in it.

@goat5hit Irrelevant to the gameplay, mechanics, systems and level design. Pokemon is a turn based strategy game while Palworld is a real time action, survival RPG with building, production and automation mechanics.

@FlameLFH Capturing monsters is not the main mechanic of pokemon it's the battles. Without the battles it's all meaningless.

@seguramlk Most likely, but using AI to make games is the next step in making games. AI right now is what game engines were back in the day.

@goat5hit That is irrelevant... that's the least important part of the game - how the monsters look. They are a rip-off, but the game is nothing like pokemon gameplay, mechanics and systems wise.

@goat5hit I disagree, it's everything else that makes the game good. It has many elements from many genres and they are well mixed into one.
