  1. it would have been better if you tested a 4 core/8 thread at 4.0Ghz, because 6 cores/6 threads at 5.0Ghz are absolutely enough for gaming.

  3.  @imrileth6618  Yep that's 22.2% improvement in performance considering that intel's hyper-threading gives up to 25% performance increase, I'd say you are up there and nearly perfect.

  5.  @gazlink1  Go read on Amdahl's law and you'll see that we can't just increase core/thread count, especially in games where the game logic and algorithms are linear and sequential for the most part. Plus we lack hardware level parallelism which just increases the severity of Amdahl's law of parallelism. If the software is 99% parallel you get diminishing returns above 32 cores, 99%! Games are usually between 50% and 85% parallel at best.
