we are already living through one, we already lived through at least half a dozen in the past 20 years.

@imperialgamer6969 people are too big of pussies to rebel with risk for their lives. And people won't even rebel while they have their basics needs met and can occasionally buy some dumb toy...

@imperialgamer6969 that's why we are overpopulated socially. When millions of people live in just one city they are replaceable and each individual has a lower weight and influence. It's much easier to rally 100 people from a population of 5000 than 1 million people out of 5000 000.

@imperialgamer6969 It's harder for one person to rally 500 000 people than to rally 100 people regardless of the ratio of said people to the total, but then you add in the total, percentages, in this case, are irrelevant, because you can't rally 500 000 people. No direct communication on an individual level means that at best you can make them come together and make a parade cough I mean protest...

@imperialgamer6969 percentage doesn't matter in this case, raw numbers do.

Trainrhys I'm sure he had insiders that knew that both of those would be very profitable.

Well yes, with each passing day we are closer to WW3 and further away from WW2. :O

And we spend time in school and university. Synthetic, authoritarian, unrealistic, synthetic environments with forced socialization, that produce weak, useless stupid people in 12-20 years. Goes doubly so for STEM.

The solution: Never get married and don't cohabitate.

Being bad at school and university doesn't matter, when the education system produces weak, stupid useless people and doesn't teach you almost any real life skills in 12-20 years, while wasting your youth. Goes doubly so for STEM... The most successful people I know(and I know a few dozen of them as they are close friends and acquaintances) went to private courses and self-educated as much as possible, while ditching school as much as possible. Didn't even go to university. And only one of them had wealthy parents, the rest had below "mid-class" parents... These people got to earn 3-7x the average salary by the age of 22-24 and some opened their own companies recently.

@Ellis Soden-Beaton same.

@musawirmd6289 There have been very few periods in time where it was spinning in the right direction. The last 300 years aren't such a period, nor was there a small period within them.

kingofassholes4348 You have to consider the standard of living. Making 5 figures doesn't mean much, the question is how much purchasing power do they have. There are countries like Egypt where rent is 10-15$, apartments and smaller houses are a few thousand, but of course they earn a lot less. A 170 sqm apartment near the center of a city in Egypt is 3250$, go find one for the same price in Europe, the USA or Canada.
