Capitalism encourages frequent purchases of products to keep the economy going... and is one of the many reasons why capitalism sucks, though the stock market and the focus on money and profit instead of the product and evolution and improvement of the product are the worst.

  4. The number of clutches you will change and the more frequent oil changes and even rebuilds, more than make up for the cost of fixing a good automatic once every 300,000 kilometers at worst and changing the oil many times less frequently.

  5. I still don't get what is more fun about it, but ok. Maybe I'd have to drive an automatic to get it, but I really think that having an automatic is better. More efficient, faster, less maintenance and less likely to break if it's a good automatic like those from ZF and Aisin.

  6.  @jjk3840  Egh... you might not care. Most people do. On the other hand, driving half clutch and next to none-stop pressing and letting it go going through half clutch for hours a day wears it out very quickly, oftentimes they don't last the minimum recommended distance that they should be changed.
