@brandonjames2368 well that's not true. If you really wanted a woman in her 20s, then you'd be in excellent physical shape and you would be at the very least working a very well paid job.

@jackwilson5542 no child support I understand, but why give the other party alimony? Once you are separated it's not your job to support the other party financially... Child support is not supporting the other party it's supporting your child. At the same time both alimony and child support are overpriced and even if it were only child support the other party wouldn't use it only on the child for sure.

@jackwilson5542 No sane man would marry for any reason, unless you are rich and have the best lawyers and even then it's dumb.

@jackwilson5542 lol, you sign a prenuptial agreement or whatever it's called. Women would never sign that with a regular guy, but with a rich guy they'll get much more resources from him while married, compared to divorcing a guy that is 96th percentile or lower in income.

@charlottekey8856 it makes sense back when there wasn't almost any school, and if the man left the woman with 3-7 young children, there was no way for her to work and take care of them since due to the industrial revolution, working from home was no longer the norm, the norm were factories, workshops and offices. That said this is way too outdated now and in the past 70 years.
