The audience clapped, and the media did not report on it (except for Saturday Night Live poking fun at that gaffe). The lack of reporting is why you and most others never heard President* Biden make that gaffe. You can search for "Biden Made in America" to see the video. When the President* of the United States Of America, twice, says that "Made in America" is two words, and the audience claps, and the media agrees, then "Media Elitist Complex" is two words.
