Great video. But I did not understand how you made your image into a VM guest? How do you choose the VM as the destination point for the image? In other words, @13:53, how did you pick the target drive? How can there be a target drive for a VM? That drive exists only when the VM is running. But Clonezilla is not running the VM. So how does the target drive exist? I have a Windows 7 box that I would like to wrap into a VM. And it seems like you demonstrated how to make that happen. Except, I missed something in one of the steps (and I watched it several times). Thanks in advance for any help.

At my last job, I often used Windows' Remote Desktop, precisely because the remote machine would remain locked. I often needed to use the PC in my office for work that should not be viewed by others. But if I was not there, I could not know if anyone could see my screen. With Remote Desktop, that was not a problem. I got to do work, as if I was sitting in my office, with full access to their network from that PC, with no worries about anyone seeing my screen. For screen sharing, I use Quick Assist. It works great. But there are a few drawbacks: 1) It will work only between two Windows 10 (or higher) OS's. 2) The helper must have a Microsoft account. 3) The remote computer (needing the assistance) needs to be present to grant permission. This is fine for security reasons. But Quick Assist is useless if no one is at the remote machine. Remmina sounds great, especially for non Windows OS's.

I wish that I knew about Barrier before I purchased my KVM box last year. Being able to have desktops open at the same time, and share resources looks great. Can you drag a file from one client to to another? Also, it is not all rosy. If your server box becomes unusable, your KVM neighborhood will go dark. Can you simply change one of the other boxes from client to server, and carry on? Lastly, Barrier is good for most folks, because in most situations, their computers will be on the same network. With a physical KVM box, different computers need not be networked together. Cheers!
