  1. Why does NASA not simply use Star Trek Voyager's Astrometric's lab, and that ship's long range sensors? The ship has Borg enhanced technology, and has been back from the Delta quadrant since 2001. Why re-invent the wheel?

  2. Star Trek has been using impulse engines to manage the ship's speed, since the 1960s. For the most part, why not just use transporter technology, which Star Trek has been using since the 1960s? Has anyone try to elicit this information from William Shatner? Even better, how about LeVar Burton or Roxann Dawson, who maintained their ship's propulsion systems?
