@stardust164 most homes don't have guns, they probably targeted this gated community thinking the people in it were confident enough with their gates. May I ask which country is your residence in? I'm always interested in the stats on gun laws vs ownership vs crime etc..

@stardust164 you can still own a gun in Canada, specifically a shotgun in your home, and stats say 22% of Canadian houses do have a gun, compared to Florida's 30%... Which place were you in where you had the home invasion? You didn't really answer my last question....

@stardust164 well gee that's lucky. I've heard many Canadians leave their doors unlocked, was that the case? Must be nice having some confidence that a handgun isn't likely even for a criminal, if that were possible in the USA we could probably feel safer too, however, with literally hundreds of millions of guns out there, it's not realistic. Canada has a pretty decent idea of who has what. Not so in the USA.
