When stuff from 2002 starts becoming “history”, I , a 23 year old, feel old.
8000
@user-ok1xq5qm9tso it’s ok when the Russians actually try to make a colony, but america helping Ukraine out is bad because?…..
22
Not even remotely close.
8
So did the Soviets. Who do you think built there rocket, jet programs and rebuilt the East German military around?
7
@reapthewhirlwind6915 we won’t, because it’s not dire.
7
11:04- they wanted nuclear bombs used in veitnam? 1. That’s insane that they even thought of that 2. Do you think using atomic weapons against the Viet Min would have convinced them to give up? Sounds like an interesting alternate history story.
7
Then don’t invade Taiwan to begin with bud.
7
@ what? Unlike Germany, Ukraines not fighting a 3 front war across an entire continent, nor has it lost 8 million troops, or fighting 3 of the largest economies on earth at the same time. The situation isn’t nearly as “dire” or comparable.
6
@ericp1139 and Xi keeps building up his navy , amphibious warfare units and airborne brigades while constant telling the PLA to “prepare for war”.
6
Sorry, I missed the part we’re NATO invaded Ukraine….
5
Didn’t know paranormal criptids existed bud 😂

@MarxinRios no, america entered WW2 in 1941 after the Pearl Harbor attack. Germany, who was allied to Japan at the time, declared war on America on the 13th of December 1941. You do realize america fought against the Nazis for 3 years prior to D-day right? We fought them in the battle of the Atlantic, on Italian front, North African front, and bombed German industry days and night for 3 years. While also fighting the Japanese across the whole Pacific Ocean. Hence, a 2 front war.
5
@MarxinRios how? We literally joined only 5 months after the Soviets were invaded. And we sent Aid to them almost immediately after entered to help out.
5
No, just really lucky.
5
1:06 hey uh…,,why is that tower leaning?
5
@ericp1139 literally 2 bases.
5
@deaghostyt2217 lol. “Super large”? It was just about it 200,000 (including reservists) and barely had any western gear prior to the summer of 2022. It was a small post-Soviet army still armed with soviet era gear for the vast majority of its soldiers.
4
Wait…wasn’t this made already?
4
The largest in history infact.
4
Because people seem to have a bad habit about fantasizing over defeated white supremicist nations online.
4
10:58- is that little bubble accurate? Did hitler really think that the tide of war would change just because Roosevelt died?? Also, what exactly was the Nazi government and high command holding on hope for? That the war would some how turn back to there favor?? How??
3
@MarxinRios in 1945? Hell no we weren’t. We just got done fighting a 2 front world war. We were tired of it. Only Churchill wanted to fight the Soviets next
3
@MarxinRios late? We entered in 1941. Same year as the Soviets.
3
@deaghostyt2217 you mean the javelins that literally showed up a month before the invasion even happened? Because of Ukraine had those back in 2014, (or even a fraction of the western help it has now, for the matter) the donbass wouldn’t have even been a contest for the UAF
3
Nope. Just warning china what we’ll do if they decide to invade.
3
Oh ya, it’s totally not the blatant and forceful expansion of Iraqi territory or threading of most of the world’s oil supply at the time right?
3
The US can’t lose a war it’s not fighting bud
3
good idea!
3
The Cold War was still going on until December
3
@matthewjones39 that statement is factual.
3
I think he means there were none in the European theater then.
2
@bryananderson3772 they're still not the ones invading Ukraine comrade...
2
MGS4 more like
2
It’s crap
2
@chonkyseal9312 how does that have anything to do with the war in Ukraine?
2
@hdhdnfbxbdbd our equipment is being used by the Ukrainians and we have no "veterans" there.
2
And?
1
Ya? How else would you pronounce it?
1
Man, you know in some parallel time line, the Union probably used Elephant Cavlary…..
1
Sounds like Battles of Saltbrook in Foxhole.....literally ever war.....
1
Battetech fan I presume?

You know, I wonder if modern paratroopers could succeed in the same operation were these Troops didn’t?? Modern airborne have the ability to carry powerful man portable anti-tank equipment and, in the case of Russia, can be almost fully mechanized with air-droppable armored vehicles. Also, I wonder if they had planes like the c-130 (that can take off from small grass Feilds if needed) back then, if the paratroopers could be supplied nearly indefinitely via an ‘Air-head’?? Also helicopters would make a hell of a difference in the days after the initial drop. No need to secure and hold Drop zones of the supplies can be delivered anywhere.

Like?

If only our leadership could be so based.

Original comment or here. God damn did my comment explode....
1
Wasn’t “hegemonic” yet in 1991.
1
@akidnamedryan4758 ya, but no one knew the Soviets were so close to collapse then. Until 12/26/91, the world was still split between two super powers.
1
You’d basically just have middle eastern North Korea.
1
The Bayraktar is Western. And the Ukrainians also have Switch Blade, Warmate, and some Czech made UAV that I’m blanking on the name of now.
1
Now I’m just waiting for Potential history to finish his series on it.
