They literary put their application in last august, and being a “buffer state” is worthless.

@georgewallace8933 not at all. Once the war is over, Ukraine will begin the ascension process
2
@bleulung Finland just joined NATO, and you don’t see WW3 breaking out do you?
2
Too late. They already put their application to join the alliance last august. The only thing stopping them from beginning to process is this war going on right now. So unless Russia just wants to be at war for the rest of its existence, Ukraine will join NATO once the war is over.
2
Nope.
2
@that90sguy77 why?
2
Lol. America would feel just fine if the Canadians pointed all their non-existent missiles at at us. Because we know for a fact their wouldn’t be a “Canada” left within an hour of using those missiles on us….
2
@simonhall1328 the European Union is a military organization?

NATO is “splintered” despite the fact it’s about to gain another member soon, just had one join this last April, and will have Ukraine in eventually? I don’t think you know what “Splintered” means

Why did Russia ever invade?
1
They don’t have a choice. They’ve quite other wars for less in the past.
1
And like all other “red lines” , it will be crossed and Putin will do nothing.
1
Yes. It does. So Russia will never invade it again.
1
Because it’s less corrupt then Russia and hasn’t invaded any of its neighbors like Russia has?
1
Screw that. Putin’s nuclear threats are empty, and Russia has lost wars before.
1
Screw that. We should get Ukraine in NATO as soon as possible.
1
If that was the case, we wouldn’t have Hungary, Romania or Bulgaria in the alliance….
1
Ya, the example to join NATO as fast a possible or end up like Ukraine. That’s why helping Ukraine against Russia is important
1
They also control the Baltics sea and North Sea too.
