  3. I think you might be referring to the GOES satellite system, in that case, it is perfectly legal for you to download images from them. The downlink frequency for them is in the 136 MHz.

  4. The fcc needs to crack down on interference to them fleetsat satellites, if they are owned by the us government, the general public has no business being on them!!!!!

  5. Connect it to a phone running pocket rxtx tuned to one of the main SSTV hf frequencies. Let it run, and see what it picks up if anything. Be interesting to see if it would pick up any SSTV using the robot 8 protocol.
