@a.humphries8678 you are correct, I was a child abuse and sexual assault detective… that story sounds a little suspect though. Yes you can be jailed for not reporting abuse but that requirement goes out the window if you know someone else reported it then that satisfies that requirement. I would question if your friend is telling you the entire story.

@abeeikah2384 she talks about that in the video. Watch the video. She had come out and said stuff a lot over the years to different people and church members and leaders it just never made the news. Finally she told someone who had experience with the media and exposing abuse like this and it went big and made the news.
