It would seem that global warming has nothing to do with it. It has only been held 15 times since 1909. With 20 yr periods of it not happening. It also seems that in 2012 it was colder than the early 2000s. That seems strange. It seems to be a rare occurrence due to 20 yr cyclic weather conditions like La Niña etc. it seems temps have been going up then down which is not global warming. It should have been held every single year in the early yrs with it slowly tailing off if it was your global warming.

@petert3355 this race shows occasional low temps over 100+yr period. 15 times over 100 yrs. Mark that on a graph and it shows a flat line of temps not a gradual incline. So therefore while co2 has steadily increased temps for this event have been flat. Don’t you need warming for your global warming. This is physical evidence the “man made” global warming theory is false. If you have the same temps in 1909, 1997 and 2012 then there is no increase.

@petert3355 it could have been held in 2012. Nature doesn’t do things exactly as our mathematics want. The years from the 1920s to the 1940s were much hotter than today and the 60s and 70s were much cooler. Co2 has steadily increased, yet it cooled so co2 therefore does not regulate temperature. If you have the same low point temps in 1909 as in 2012 you cannot conclude temps are rising. If these temps only arose 15 times in 100+yrs then they are an anomaly. The average is higher. The years it’s not held are the normal average temperature for over 100+yrs not the regular abnormal cold years. 1909-1912-1917 big gap 1939-40-41 big gap (note the 22 yr difference) 1963 (pesky 22yrs again) 85-86 (funny that 22yr thing) then it changed 97 (11yrs) then the conditions returned in 2012 (15 yrs). By this, the next opportunity will fall between 2023 and 2027. The reduced gap indicates cooling not warming due to more colder years on average. This 114 yr period shows regular cool years which are increasing in frequency. Where is the corresponding warming to the increase of co2? Logical conclusion……. Global warming models are failures. Since the theory is entirely based on the failed models then the theory is simply wrong.

@annebokma4637 over 100yrs of data and your head is still in the sand. It’s right in front of your face. It’s simple facts and data. 100yrs of the same temperatures and you still believe a bad prediction of the future based in a virtual world than what is plainly right in front of you………do better.

@Helleuw123 how about you learn physics. Do you actually realise how dumb that is? You actually need cold to push cold air towards the equator or it would be warm air. Both poles have had record cold. The nth pole has thicker than average ice. Ice doesn’t melt below 0c and the nth pole gets above 0c for about a week a year. Not much melting below -30c. Ps, not much melting at -3c currently. Love the old saying “there’s a sucker born every minute”.
