@nabilmuhammadsani2827 Maybe you can't get your phone back. But if you forgot it, then you wouldn't know who would have stolen it. And even if they did stolen it, it's still just a phone. You can always get another. Hardly worth cutting someone's hand for. Rape and killing should be punishable with the max penalty, life, or a death penalty. As I said before, the punishment must be equal to the crime. Stealing on the other should be punished at worst, with time in prison. It has everything to do with it. Such harsh rules are born of dictatorial governments. And even if they weren't dictatorial, such rules should never be approved off.

@nabilmuhammadsani2827 That wouldn't be the imprisoner's fault, but the guards for not doing their job propely. They are the ones supposed to protect the prisoners from others. If you don't throw them in prison, they will just keep doing crimes. You don't get it. Even if it doesn't correct them, it prevents them from doing crimes for many years. That is more important. US laws always sucked, but here in Europe, prisons work as intended. Although Portugal might be a bit too soft with their 25 year prison limit. Simple. It prevents from doing crimes. If they can't be corrected, they can be thrown in jail as many times it takes so they don't do crimes outside. No, thanks. We aren't barbarians. The ends don't justify the means. One must do what is right, not what produces the results you want.

@abuzolfiqar2122 I would rather be in prison than to lose my hand.... But guess some people are masochists and prefer severe pain and permanent loss over the loss of measly freedom.

@nabilmuhammadsani2827 You say that, as if there aren't people who wouldn't risk having their hands cut off. How can you say it's more effective, when you don't understand how their minds work? I would rather be less "effective", than resort to such extremes. The punishment must be equal to the crime. Cutting someone's hand for stealing is disproportionate and imoral. Belongings can be returned, but you can't return a cut hand. And in exchange, all those countries are ruled by dictators. No thanks, I would prefer EU's crimes rates

@mayaasan7201 I'm not obsessed with Islam though. I see it as a potential problem, and little else. Doesn't matter who started what. In the end, Islam choose to adopt that punishment, while Chirstianity evolved and moved on from such punishments. Also, learn to make space between your statements. Text walls are painful to read. Then I'm thankful that's not the God I worship. The God I worship, loves all humanity and appreciates people who are good, whetever they are pure of heart or not.

@nessesitoburrito8873 That's a rare occurrence. And that's not a problem with the jails, but rather a problem with incompetent guards.

@MansMan42069 You don't need God to know what is good or what is evil. It's just like math. Good and Evil will always exist. Simple, by learning from empathy, by putting myself on other shoes. As well being aware that true justice demands equal exchange. A crime and it's punishment must be in equal value in order to be truely fair. It is closer to God, otherwise, it wouldn't have evolved in the first place. I don't need to try. I'm objectively right.
2
@MansMan42069 I claimed a fact. If you want to argue against objective faults, that's your problem. That's easy, by their actions and intentions. Evil actions makes one evil. Doubly so if they have evil intentions. Good intentions, and evil actions, would make one corrupt, rather than evil. Make no mistake however, as that is just a lesser form of black morality. Only through good intentions and good actions, is one truely good.

A straight lie. There was more slavery back in the age of discovery. The only reason why it seems more nowdays, is because we have internet. There was no internet back in the day, and thus the total number of slaves is far harder to account for.

And the East is all shine and rainbows. Please.

@MansMan42069 Correction, it WAS not the religion of God. Past tense. It had to evolve to become closer to God.
1
@MansMan42069 It wasn't with God, if it was doing evil. Because Christianity became less self righteous, and stopped killing innocents over small things. Thus, closer to God. Let me remind you that people burned at the stake for false accusations many times in the past, and it was a cruel punishment even for the non-innocent. I don't need to try again. It's a fact that our religion evolved.

@chehrazadeesmey8399 Doesn't matter. Even if he repeats, it's best to throw him into jail. At least with both hands, he can be put to work in jail.
1
@MansMan42069 Precisely. In the past, there were way more slaves than there is now. Not conjecture. Common sense. Slavery was legal back in the day. Meaning, that they could be done easily in the open. Which allows for almost everyone with the means to have their own slave. Not to mention, that the most rich would have dozens, if not hundreds of them.

@MansMan42069 Hardly. Do I have to prove that Death exists? It's an absolute fact. There's nothing to try. I am right.
