Afraid it did. They did attack Maripoul, yes or no? That's an invasion.

@alanvarghesethomas5486 Russia was never at risk of being destroyed. Not only that, but if somehow Ukraine did attack Russia, Russia would at least have proper justification to invade Ukraine in retaliation.

@ChaptermasterPedroKantor-kv5yw "Strategically stronger" isn't much consolation. USSR was already a superpower before defending themselves against Hitler's Germany. Russia wasn't targeted for destruction in the first place. This is about defending Ukraine. Do you honestly think Ukraine has used up all of NATO's weapons? Not even close.

Should have guessed that only old people like Russia.
1
@martharoth7623 That doesn't make up for the lives they ruined.
1
@Chuck68ify No. It wouldn't. USA would survive some long range weapons. And it wouldn't matter. If USA had invaded Cuba back in the missile crisis in 1962, USA would have been in the wrong. Same thing if they had invaded Mexico over something like that. Until attacked, USA would have no right to invade.

@ksmith4712 It was earlier than that actually. The conflict started in 2014, and it was caused by Donbas. Article 51 applies to members of the United Nations. It doesn't apply to Donbas, which is property of Ukraine, but it applies to Ukraine. Since Donbas separatists attacked Ukraine, Ukraine has the right to defend itself against the rebels. Not really. I already know all the answers I will give to all excuses you make for Russia.

@Chuck68ify Which isn't relevant to current era. Different times, different methodes. They can look whatever, as it doesn't excuse Russia's actions, as it wasn't attacked.
1
@Chuck68ify Which wouldn't excuse USA invading Cuba.

I don't think you realize the fallacy in your logic. Nobody gets stronger in war, you will always lose people, money and armament.
1
@nuggetella Simple. That USA had been attacked and invaded other countries many times. Just like Russia.

@ChaptermasterPedroKantor-kv5yw If it wasn't, how did it defeat Germany? Because if it wasn't, General Winter wouldn't have been enough to defeat Germany. "Seen" isn't the same thing as "being". I think you have something wrong here. Hitler wasn't exactly sane, what makes you think he wouldn't attack a super power? Not attacking USA makes sense, as invading USA is extremely difficult from the sea, but USSR didn't have that luxury. Afraid it wasn't. Had Russia not attacked Ukraine, NATO wouldn't invade Russia at all. Ukraine used NATO weapons, but nowhere close to all of what NATO actually has. Those are stored all over the many nations that are part of NATO. You mean Russia's war. NATO didn't start, Russia did.

@eazymethod01 Based on an artificial economy. It won't last for long. BRICS is doomed to fail eventually. It has Brazil and China in it for starters. Not the most trustworthy nations.

@Chuck68ify And Hilter betrayed that agreement. Meaning that Russia wasn't preparing for war with Germany, and still won.
1
@Chuck68ify And if they weren't at war, they wouldn't have lost any at all, and would have more than what they have now.
1
Martial law. As long war goes on, elections won't be able to take place. Russia should leave.
