Lol, they never lost their independence or sovereignity. If they did, they would have an american governor, not a prime german minister and president governing them.

@lilidezman624 That's the problem. He shouldn't have intervened. Nobody is worth starting a war over. And yes, that includes any of us. You say it would be far worse, but that's false, because it's already as worse as it can get due to this pointless war Russia caused. Yes, had he done it sooner, we could have also have wrapped it sooner and wouldn't have to deal with this crap by now, and also reduce dependency on Russia sooner as well. It could have been prevented, if Putin just left Ukraine be.

@sxue4125 Don't care. NATO has the right to expand wherever it pleases, since it's not a country. NATO only expands to nations that join it, thus their expansion has their permission. Also, any sayings to not expand are no longer valid, since they were made with the USSR regime, not Russia. Russia is the root of this disaster. No invasion, no problem.

@benanders4412 Yes, I'm sure. Then you live in a very curious "western country", probably USA, since they have far worse democracy than EU nations have. It makes me more free than most countries. I don't want absolute freedom to begin with, that leads to anarchy. And so are many other countries, surpise, suprise. Spying on citizens who are suspected of criminal behaviour is nothing new. If they were really spying on me everyday, then they would have easily found something to pester me with. I already traveled plenty to know that your world isn't my world. Then they are not as great as you think. If they aren't democratic, then they are automatically not as free as EU countries. Different isn't worse, but I found plenty of cultures that just plain disgust me and make me glad I was born in Europe. And that's dangerous, as it could lead to anarchy.

@benanders4412 Which is far preferable to most other countries. Those weren't elected by the people, but were still picked by the people you elected. Our leaders made that choice for us, the leaders that each country choose.

Not to mention that some millions of people is a droplet compared to the total population of large a country, let alone various countries. Also, it doesn't matter if you are one or a billion if one is wrong. I know I'm right, so I won't. I can live with you thinking I'm not man enough.

Lol. Russia couldn't have cared less about Germany back in the day. They didn't fight Nazis out of kindness of their hearts. They were betrayed by their nazis allies, and had to defend themselves. If it wasn't for that, USSR would have gladly let Europe suffer.

@lilidezman624 It doesn't matter how corrupt you think it is. Putin is worse. Also, Ukraine is the victim of an invasion. I can't condone invasion no matter what. Not atrocities, retaliation for their crimes against Ukranian people. Putin will only end up making more people suffer. You though Donbas situation was bad? Now it's even worse as even more people die and suffer due to the war that Putin caused back in 2014, and now.

@lilidezman624 I have something to tell you. Both sides have lies. Clearly Putin should have known better than to invade Ukraine. Since it only made things worse. It doesn't matter what he warned or didn't warn. NATO can expand wherever it pleases as long the nations that it expands to join NATO. I know all about that you posted. It makes no difference. Invasion is wrong, and thus Russia is in the wrong. Nothing justifies invasion. Nobody is worth invading a country.

@lilidezman624 Gas, of course. Among other resources. Sugarcoat it all you like. But fact is, in order to support Ukraine, EU must avoid providing money to Russia as much as possible.
