@advancedomega When were we forced to obey? Italy clearly isn't doing what EU wants, and they have yet to be forced. Also, if we follow those laws, we do so willingly, otherwise we wouldn't have joined EU to begin with. Or do you think we just skipped the fine print and just signed the EU membership whitout looking at it?

@gkagara No, it doesn't. I have a prime minister, which for better or for worse, gets to decide what goes on our country and gets the final say on the matter, not EU. EU proposes, and it's up to our government to decide if we go along with it.

@LjutaPtica I am from EU. From Portugal, so afraid you are wrong. We never lost our idenpendence. That's because it's your leaders who vote for it instead. Whom you elected will be the one to get a say on the matter. Yes, it does.

@malfeasance62 That wasn't even an threat, it is an objective fact. Italy accepted those laws when they signed up for EU membership. Definetely not. Independence doesn't mean that you can just do whatever you please.

@gkagara Not always no. And if it does what EU does, it's because he agrees with them. He's not even a good prime minister, but even he is capable of that much at least. The same can be said about you, it's easy to criticise, but you don't know how to do a better job.
