i don't think that they have access to the kind of weapons that they would need to successfully topple the monarchy. following a couple of cops home and killing them is only going to piss off the other cops and won't instill fear in them. a lot of this has to do with the usual sunni-shiite conflict which goes deeper then anything else. how else do you think that the cops would be able to do the things that they did to the protestors?

according to the information from this video if it is really true, much of the reason for the loss of coal miner's jobs has to do with the coal being depleted to a low level and machines being used in place of laid off coal miners. it looks like there is no other alternative except for west virginia to try to continue to transition to some other form of industry or industries in order to get back on its feet again.
4
TheSupercow2008 fat people remind her of poverty i'll bet.
4
MrSuperBrite what's a good criminal and what's the difference? a dirty cop is a criminal.
4
GodOfTheInternets people would all have to be saints and when i say all i mean all in order for real communism to work. actually if everybody were saints then capitalism would work without any problems too. there would be no point in debating what works best because they all would work. some form of "world communism" would probably be how the world was governed (sort of) but because of human nature we don't have any stateless societies (more or less).
4
***** a lot of people hate russia too though.
4
***** they usually don't in rough neighborhoods. that's how little trust they have for the police there.
4
loonysquirrel i grew up in a baptist home. as an american, we are going to cross paths with plenty of these baptists and pentecostals. believe me, they aren't in any way connected to the CIA or any kind of government agency. these guys are retarded and think that they are really saving souls in russia and ukraine when they go there as missionaries. you have to live here in the usa to know what i'm talking about and know how ridiculous your statement is.
4
+Fark derptube i think that you are confusing democracy with what bush tried to bring iraq. there is a big difference.
4
john frank that seems to be the history of "civilization."
4
Dee Jay i don't think that the tribe agreed to let the coal companies expand so far as to evict them from their homes.
4
+MMOStein you are the 5th one on the list to try this shit. i'm starting to think that you all work together as some kind of ultra-right wing neo-con troll agency or something. once again for those of you who haven't watched a news report in over 10 years, he was falsely accused of being a terrorist as would be indicated by the fact that the penatgon cleared him for release. it was in fact the case of the majority of the detainees. even after being cleared for release, the problem was that they needed a country who would take them in and for years no country would step up and take them in as refugees. seriously what is up with all of you coming in here with zero knowledge about the whole gitmo story in late 2015 when the story has been out for a long time now?
4
a good movie to watch that talks about that subject is called "the city of god."
4
VICE News i want to know what kind of psychological profile would fit the typical female who would want to join a group like ISIS. particularly ones who were raised in a free western society.
4
@trent blakeslee i would think that christians would be looking to right around the year 2150 for the 2nd coming of jesus. jesus was born right around the beginning of the age of pisces which is represented by a fish thus the fish symbol to represent christianity since the beginning. 2150 is supposed to be when the age of aquarius begins and so i would think that they would look to around that year but then again......they have books to sell and pews to fill and most christians just want something that gives them hope and even false hope based on lies from conmen are good enough for them if they can make them feel good.
4
1rken1nfantry you should go google "hitler's table talks on christianity." after reading that, i'm convinced that hitler's "catholicism" was all a front to lure in the german catholics.
3
Where Does Experience Happen? things will probably get worse before they get better. we can't even get half the country in the usa to admit that climate change is real.
3
Upthe Snatch those ones are the most obnoxious political activists that i've met or interacted with. if you politely disagree with them on anything then they throw a temper tantrum and start going into a long list of name calling and idiotic put downs rather than argue their position.
3
NeuKrofta i don't care if southerners want to fly the confederate flag in their homes, from their trucks or in front of their businesses. i don't think that it belongs on any government building though because it doesn't represent the government in any way.
3
that doesn't look like a paradise to me. if bahrain really does "look" that nice then all that means is that it has potential to one day be a paradise but unfortunately isn't because of a murderous tyrannical dictator king won't allow it for a large number of citizens in the country. do you think that these protestors would have sacrificed and risked their lives by peacefully protesting the governments actions? i think that all of you guys who are praising the bahrainian monarchy are paid by the monarchy to troll for them and are really horrible at doing your jobs in being able to defend the monarchies actions.
3
wigster600 how did margaret thatcher and tony blair ever get elected? speaking of margaret thatcher what do you think about what she did to the coal mining industry in the UK?
3
STDrepository we have a good system. that's not the problem. the problem is that the rich bankers and corporations are buying the politicians and making the important decisions that seem to adversely affect us all.
3
+Anthony West he was cleared by the pentagon for release many years ago but no country wanted to take him in and so he was stuck there. he was wrongfully accused of being a terrorist is what happened.
3
i'll bet its left wingers doing the bombings in this instance.
3
SolomonsNightmare most illegal immigrants in the usa are underpaid. that's normally the extent of the abuse.
3
XboxSucksWiiForTheWn there probably are people working for the CIA working online to spread pro-usa propaganda but i would be willing to bet that every country has had a program just like that. still the vast majority of people online are just regular people who like to talk about current events. putin shouldn't be so afraid of the internet. i don't think that nostradamia is a putin paid troll though. he is just a regular guy probably from an english speaking country who has more of a distrust of western governments then your average person would have. he probably watched too much RT or something.
3
yeah i also wanted to know why colleges are so much more expensive everywhere else but california. i paid eight hundred something a semester and around 300 dollars in books in the CSU system. i worked full time at nights and paid for it myself that way. as expensive as it is in other states, i couldn't have done that
3
***** communism at best runs its course and can't outlast capitalism (not that i don't complain about that too). it also in practice has produced governments that have been guilty of the worst human rights violations against their own people then any other systems that i can think of and that includes nazi germany.
3
***** those revisionists/reactionaries did the best thing for the chinese people that they could've ever done. that mao regime murdered millions of chinese people, granted no freedom for the people and even went through a famine where many millions more starved to death.
3
TacticalDrunk our soldier are fine as far as being efficient. the middle-east and afghanistan are a lot more complicated than this situation.
3
Troll Masters i heard that this is what killed theodore roosevelt. he went on an expedition to the amazon, got really sick and it weakened him for a few more months until he died.
3
kim jong un secretly likes katy perry's music and doesn't have a butthole.
3
Helms472388 if he was right in his prediction then how can he be a moron?
3
Shanghai Noon i think that you don't understand our welfare system. the welfare system is money that the government gives you if you are looking for work but can't find it and have no job training or skills. there are other things like disability for those who are physically or mentally able to function at work and there is the food stamps program for those who make under a certain amount of money per year where you exchange these stamps for food at the local grocery store just to name a few programs. even then it wouldn't come anywhere near 110 million people on all of these programs.
3
Shanghai Noon china to me on the surface looks like it has fully adopted western tradition. you all dress the same as westerners, enjoy the same pop cultural style of things, and even the development of the cities looks western (usa specifically).
3
what's happening is that china doesn't need to play nice with us anymore and so they aren't playing nice. they think that we need them more than they need the usa.
3
that makes no sense at all. why don't you just say that they are both brave in their own way.
3
no, this is a mexican standoff. they want the kurds and ISIS to fight it out amongst themselves for a while and the swoop down and kill whoever is left.
3
study after study including this latest report show that torture is an unreliable way of getting information. just come clean and say that you don't care if it is unreliable as far as intelligence gathering and say that you are angry at the terrorists that did 9/11 and it makes you feel good knowing that anybody who was connected to 9/11 is being tortured (even though as i said in my previous comment, most of them were not connected).
3
VICE News i think that this civil war is going to drag on a while. i still don't understand why the east can't just separate and the west just allow it and both sides go in their own direction and maybe in time be able to have better relations.
3
German Hockey i've met some bad ones and some good ones and no being decent and respectful to cops will not guarantee that they won't harass you and verbally abuse you and no acting normal and natural will not prevent police from suspecting you of suspicious activity even though you aren't doing anything unusual or or have ever broken any laws in your whole life. come visit my old neighborhood for a shock and a change of perspective on cops.
3
marijuana legalization should be decided by the states and not the federal government at this point in time. that' why he didn't want to field that question.

Michael Hedlund have any of you in europe ever looked to the usa as an example on how immigrants adapt? i know that its not considered cool right now to look to the usa as an example on how to do things but this is something that we have a lot more experience with. it is literally one of the things that we see ourselves as being is a nation of immigrants. from what i see, there is a common pattern of 1st to 4th generation of immigrants and beyond that. the first generation that don't speak english usually don't learn any or very little english. they usually live the rest of their lives poor and working the basic low paying jobs. the 2nd generation normally does a little bit better. they learn english at a young age and usually end up with a better skilled working class kind of job or else stay ahead of the curve and go to college and enter the middle class. they kind of feel like they are living in dual cultures too. the 3rd wave tends to think more like a "typical" american and they either learn a working class skill or they go to college or get a clerical job of some sort. the 4th wave tends to identify themselves as being as american as anybody who happens to have a bloodline tracing back to whichever country his/her ancestors came from. the same pattern holds true with irish and scottish immigrants except that they already knew english as their native language when they first arrived here. even asian immigrants hold to the same patterns as european immigrants. maybe it would just take time before the muslim immigrants start to identify themselves as being totally a part of your countries and their culture will mostly resemble all of you. maybe i'm comparing apples and oranges here and its different for all of you but still it is something to look at i would think.
3
obsc3n3skull that's what it looks like.
3
+VICE News you guys still have to get the dubbing fixed. also the next time soldiers tell your staff to leave an area it would be wise to leave the area immediately and not try to ignore the order.
3
CNX625 i don't think that's why they are letting muslim immigrants into canada.
3
DUDESRIOUSLYMAN it doesn't matter if you dropped a nuke on a large city or in the desert out in the middle of nowhere. the nuclear fallout will spread all over the middle-east and kill everyone there.
3
go inwards to your inner gaul. lol
3
Cerealkiller right now it doesn't look like we the americans are going to be the winners here.
3
Geoffrey S both the usa and russia have a history of quite a lot of imperialistic moves. trying to compare who is more imperialistic is pointless. for the record, the usa didn't "cause" maiden to occur in ukraine but they did encourage it. have you ever heard of "the iron curtain?" russian empire? the original reason why we had 1000 bases in europe? the soviet union's proxy wars that they fought against the usa? don't get me started kid. both sides are extremely imperialistic.
