i think that you all should put the statues in a bunch of large museums. it might even bring in a little revenue for some of the states too. i think that would be a fair compromise.

states rights to preserve their economic system which was built on slavery was why the south seceded from the union. revisionists like to keep pulling the wool over people's eyes with faulty logic to say that it wasn't about slavery but it was slavery and the issue of slavery that inspired the south to secede. no matter how people try to deflect away from the fact doesn't change the facts. as john adams once said, "facts are a stubborn thing."
