***** i think that the reason for why are gun violence rate is so high is because we have so many guns circulating around both legally and illegally. trying to ban them would help the criminals who don't legally own their guns while harming the law abiding gun owner who thinks that he needs them to protect his family from home invasions.

***** banning guns works fine for smaller countries but here it could never work.

***** there are way too many guns in circulation both legally and illegally here in the usa for any kind of ban on guns to work unless you are referring to banning the making and selling of them and not about confiscating them. even then, there would be red states seceding from the union and a whole lot of other problems popping up if we banned them.

a gun ban here in the usa wouldn't work. there are way too many guns in circulation both legally and illegally out here. how would the government ever confiscate them especially from the criminals and the people with unregistered guns? red states would be seceding from the usa all over the place and criminals would feel more emboldened about breaking into people's homes. it wouldn't work out here.

Vladswell htler could've hypothetically said something like that in private talks with his top henchmen.

Matthew Clark i think that there would be a bunch of fights between cops and people that they were trying to arrest if the cops didn't have guns here in the usa.

Openyoureyesify the majority of americans are in favor of more background checks and maybe banning ar-15s and guns like that but nobody wants to ban guns altogether. that would be a total disaster here in the usa. there are way too many guns circulating both legally and illegally out here. how is the government going to confiscate them? especially, how is the government going to confiscate them from the criminals and the illegally owned, unregistered owners? we would also have a mini-civil war on our hands with some of the red states literally deciding to secede from the usa over a hypothetical law like that.

Daniel D high gun saturation is also a deterrent for having any ban on guns being implemented by the government which i think was what the NRA intended all along. also the gun shop owners that support them make quite a lot more money that way. a ban would never work out here because of the huge arsenal of guns circulating in the usa both legally and illegally. if you banned them then how are you going to confiscate them all and how are you going to get them from the criminals and people who don't have their guns registered thus making them illegally owned?

Matthew Clark i never felt the need to own a gun and i was raised in rough neighborhoods. still i can't see banning guns in the usa as ever having any kind of benefit. it would be disastrous in many different ways. personally i thin that a lot of the gun "nuts are exactly what people call them. "nuts." but it is way too late for people here in the usa to try to ban them. there are far too many of us and far too many guns circulating around that are both legally and illegally owned by its owner.

Matthew Clark it seems to work fine for them and the citizens there seem to be happy with the laws therefore i agree with you.
