XboxSucksWiiForTheWn there probably are people working for the CIA working online to spread pro-usa propaganda but i would be willing to bet that every country has had a program just like that. still the vast majority of people online are just regular people who like to talk about current events. putin shouldn't be so afraid of the internet. i don't think that nostradamia is a putin paid troll though. he is just a regular guy probably from an english speaking country who has more of a distrust of western governments then your average person would have. he probably watched too much RT or something.

Brendan K an american soldier would end up in military prison if he spent his "vacation time" volunteering his conbat skills to help another country in a war or even worse a civil war.

Paul Jacobs do you mean in the post-cold war era? mostly they seemed to be focused on themselves and their formerly conquered regions. one positive thing that they did do when they were the soviet union was to bring modernity to the central asian countries. they did in fact build hospitals, schools, universities, teach them about modern technology and and created cities with the traditional infrastructure, super structure and supra structure.

Алексей Понамарёв the logical solution would be for ukraine to divide into it's own separate states but russia and the eu are greedy and want it all. that's the problem and nobody is getting any truth from either the western media or russian media. both are lying and exaggerating a great deal. still, as an american, this seems like a regional conflict that has never involved the usa and i think that my countries government should've kept it that way.
2
David G Fisher if you hate your fellow countrymen that much then maybe you should move to ukraine then. that was an awfully sweeping generalization that you made their too. all 320 million of us are really of like minds and are really that bad huh? i think that if the people in eastern and southern ukraine don't want anything to do with the new ukrainian government then they shouldn't have to have anything to do with it and they should be allowed to form their own smaller countries and run them however they want. what's really stupid and what's really bad is that neither side seems to respect that logical solution.

we are really responsible for ISIS and many people feel obligated to try to do something in iraq. like collin powell said "you break it. you bought it." the usa has zero connection to anybody in the civil war in ukraine historically. we are more obligated to focus on trying to stop ISIS then we are in picking a side in a conflict that doesn't really have any good guys or bad guys. it's a fight over territory that doesn't involve the usa.

Infinitus Cyclus where did all of that aid money go toward ukraine for their military? i saw a video a couple of months ago where ukrainian soldiers were eating rations that the usa military is given when they are at war.

xfgher this whole conflict could've been resolved a lot more peacefully if everybody respected everybody's regional sovereignty to go in whichever direction it wanted but instead we have two greedy sides using ukrainians on both sides for their proxy war simply because they want it all and don't want to compromise.

Paul Jacobs a journalist has to have proof of something before they can come right out and say something. hard evidence isn't enough. at least that's how journalist ethics is like in the usa even though many people in the mainstream press have broken that rule in the past.
1
Paul Jacobs i suppose so. news stations were always getting sued with their local reports and so the general rule became for journalists to be careful with what you say, how you word it and don't jump to any conclusions without proof. that kind of thing is ingrained in their heads when they are studying journalism.
1
Paul Jacobs i suppose so. maybe simon is still a little scared of the pro-russian forces. you know that they are watching these videos right and he is obviously right there.
1
Carlos Manuel Pineda Troncoso i wish that they could just respectfully separate into their own independent countries but most of them don't seem to want to do that. the usa-eu side as well as the russian side don't seem to want that either.
1
Paul Jacobs it sounds similar to when texas declared it's independence from mexico. nevertheless, the ethnic makeup is what it is in these regions. the best way for them all to make peace would be to let the people in each region decide for themselves in a fair and unrigged vote. it's either that or see an escalation of the war that is already happening now.
1
Paul Jacobs hmmm, they made monumental strides when it came to space exploration just like the usa. other than that, nothing else that i can think of.
1
Reg Varney everybody's coverage of this has been tainted with extreme bias. nobody's coverage of this has been great at all.
1
Алексей Понамарёв i meant that the usa shouldn't have stuck their noses in ukraines business because it wasn't our business. logically speaking, it is a regional conflict where the usa has no historical connections therefore by the rules of logic, the usa should've stayed out of ukraine. logically speaking, the usa could still butt out of ukraine as of now and that is what i think that they should do.

Summerhays china publicly said that they don't support russia moving into ukraine and north korea just leeches off of china. they military isn't made to be any kind of mobile force either. brazil and india sure aren't going to do anything. they might be brics nations but they aren't going to be in any way involved militarily. at most, they would just choose not to go along with sanctions against russia meanwhile continuing to trade with usa and the west. that about sums it up. russia is all alone on this one. as the usa learned twice (should've learned it the first time) going to war unilaterally doesn't work.
1
McMuffin103 why does it bewilder you? it's quite simple. people don't want to see their soldiers die because they were trying to spread an empire to stroke the egos of narcissistic megalomaniacal psychopaths. there are also moral dilemmas that people see in invading a country for their resources and not in the name of self-defense. ukraine and iraq's resources belong to them and if they wish to engage in international business or not engage with the usa then that is their business and is no excuse to invade their countries. our military should be here to defend us from invaders. empires are a thing of the past. why do you think that everybody is pissed off at russia and was pissed off at sadaam when he went into kuwait? in another era, this would've been sen as normal and nobody would've been pissed off about it.
1
anbakeoriginal what are you talking about. reports have come out that show that the old ussr had no plans to go into chile, honduras, guatemala and grenada. that has been proven to be lies concocted by the CIA. you guys really don't know shit about what is going on in the world do you?
1
Eva Voltz i don't think that th usa wants tensions with russia but i don't think that is the reason why the focus has shifted over to ISIS right now. the civil war in ukraine is really a regional conflict and the usa has no historical connection to this place or this conflict. ISIS on the other hand does have a strong connection to the usa in that we have been at war in that country twice and the 2nd time we were there lead to there being enough of a power vacuum for ISIS to effectively recruit, gain power and occupy western iraq. we even helped them out when we were supporting the FSA in the civil war in syria. our policies have lead to the problems that ISIS is causing therefore we are more obligated to get involved there more so than in ukraine.
