  4. +Apollo 284 i've talked to them and they are either dishonest or they don't know what it symbolizes. the confederate flag that we know today as the confederate flag wasn't the actual flag used by the confederacy. as a matter of fact confederate flags weren't flown very often at all after the civil war until mlk and the civil rights movement and that's when people in the south started buying these new confederate flags and waving them as a signal that they opposed the civil rights movement and that they wanted to preserve the old, racist jim crow south. that is the real truth that has been buried.
