jedis have emotions. they just don't let their emotions control their behavior. having no emotions would be full on insane.

it wasn't racist, it was just a stupid idea to make a movie about genhis khan back in those days and it was especially stupid to cast john wayne as genhis khan. making a movie like that about genhis khan would be like making a positive movie about joseph stalin and portraying him as a good and admired historical figure. actually it would be much worse then that.

the movies were awful. that was the problem. there was nothing at all funny about them.

i thought that the idea of making anakin skywalker a whiny emo teenager made sense psychologically if you think about it. how else would darth vader be like when he was a teenager?

i think that some people didn't like the idea of jack black in the movie king kong because he was fat.

drakenguard95 that's also a good point. i thought that jack black was fine in king kong.

DramaqueenEstrella27 genhis khan was a mongolian. if you get a chinese person to play him that that would be a grave insult to the proud mongolian people. there also wasn't very many racial minorities going out for acting back in those days, especially chinese americans. it was a stupid idea to do a movie about genhis khan for a lot of other reasons besides not being able to find a mongolian actor anyways.

Jason Douglas what was racist about tom and jerry? i haven't watched a cartoon of theirs in many years and so my memory is a little foggy on it. i didn't like the cartoon because i thought that the fighting was way too lopsided and i thought that they should have let tom kick jerry's ass more often to make the cartoon more unpredictable back when i was a kid but still i don't remember anything racist about it.

i thought so too. i think that these mojo critics aren't meshing with their opinions with most of the people out there on this video.

Avedragon Rawr some people will still be overly focused on her because she is a lesbian but in reality even more so because she was overweight. that more than anything else is the reason why she was miscast for this role. still there are always going to be some people that are going to watch an openly gay actor/actress in a straight role and be to focused on the person and not the role that they are playing or the movie that they are watching. that's just the reality of things. i think that a director and actors can pull it off if they are creating fictional characters but not for a movie like the flintstones where you are taking an already created show and recasting a new set of actors to play the role. if a casting director is going to do that then they better try to find the actor or actress that fits that already created character instead of reinvent them a little.

i thought that he did fine in that one. the only reason that people wouldn't want him for the king kong role is because he's fat. other then that he did fine in the role.

i think that jenifer lawrence did well in american hustle considering the fact that she was much younger than the character in the role that she was supposed to be playing. the problem was that we all know her real age and people can't help but be focused on that fact and not be focused enough on the movie itself. that's why she would be a miscast. hayden christenson did ok as the whiny emo teenager that darth vader would've been like from a psychological profilers perspective.

Avedragon Rawr neil patrick harris is faced with an added challenge to playing his character that other straight actors or those believed to be straight wouldn't have to face. he still would have an advantage over rosie o'donnell because harris was playing a newly created character that nobody else had created. he wasn't re-created a role already played by someone else. o'donnell was playing betty rubble. an already created cartoon character from the 60s. her being overweight for the most part along with her being a lesbian makes her less ideal as a candidate for the role. that's life. if they decided to cast her then that was their business but she wouldn't be the ideal candidate for the role of betty rubble. it's not homophobic or being mean to overweight people. there are plenty other roles that o'donnell could play like in just about any movie out there but just not betty rubble.

Avedragon Rawr it shouldn't matter but for some people it does and hollywood is a business first and foremost. i don't mean that they should only cast thin actors/actresses or never cast a gay person in a straight person's role but some roles are still a bit of a stretch for some audiences. another problem with casting o'donnell is that since this movie, she has presented herself as the kind of person that a lot of people don't like and that includes men, women and gay people who feel like she rubs them the wrong way. i've never met her and so i don't have an opinion of her but that is also a factor here.

Emilie F i thought that was how george lucas wrote the character of a young anakin skywalker. during the transformation to evil, he still was kind of like the brainwashed NAZI officer thinking that he was doing something for the greater good of society. he believed in order and in having an iron-fisted dictator use fear and intimidation as his way of keeping law and order. it wasn't exactly clear about why a young anakin skywalker thought that way though but still there are plenty of people in the world who think this way.

Emilie F i think that he wanted to do good but the methods in his head were the wrong way and to absolutist. for example, there could be a war declared somewhere and there could be a young guy who gets overly enthusiastic about it because he wants to be a hero so much and he goes down and signs of for the army and then finds out that his country that he was so patriotic and enthusiastic about supporting turns out to be the bad guys. he is then left with a choice to either quit what he is doing or continue on. usually these guys alter their world views on good and evil and convince themselves that they are doing good no matter how obvious it is that they aren't doing good. if they have a conscious and they survive the war then they will come back with PTSD. anakin skywalker is like a george bush or someone in his administration. to admit that they were mistaken to themselves would be too much for them to psychologically handle. that's probably why lucas scripted for darth vader to take off his mask and then die at the end of return of the jedi. it smbolized that he couldn't handle it.
