  1. Also a pet goat, apparently. She has over 2 million dollars, I read. If horses or any other animals really needed putting down for a very good medical reason, on the advice of a vet, maybe to free them from irreversible pain, she could afford to pay a vet to put animals to sleep painlessly.

  2. As well as the puppy shooting, in the book, “ …staring down little tyrants”. ( children) So when unable to deal with something intelligently, she overreacts and presents it as being tough and decisive ? The dog..” an assassin”. Some children, “ tyrants”. Or, ‘ I couldn’t cope with a puppy and some little kids’. She hasn’t got genuine confidence and as Jesús said, enough empathy. She’s covering her lack of abilities with a tough facade. How does she deal with her own emotions - not about other people or animals but about herself ? It’s as if she masks them and her face seems like that too - a mask. She tries to project stability. I don’t think she has that.

  3. Not much of a farmer/ hunter is she, to take a 14 month old untrained dog loose on a bird shoot. Then she didn’t secure the dog in her vehicle and it jumped out and killed someone else’s chickens. So she’s incompetent but the dog was blamed.
