  2. What more can be said about a rumour. By definition, there is nothing to corroborate or substantiate any such rumour. When there is such evidence to support what was previously a rumour, it is no longer a rumour. Anything that can be said about a rumour is just opinion, conjecture and hypothetical. Any discussion on a rumour just magnifies the apparent importance of something that may be of no importance, and is a distraction from the real and substantive issues being addressed.
