  1. The purpose of Linux on a phone is to address the security and privacy concerns of using Android. Whether it "looks and acts" like a Linux phone is therefore completely irrelevant. If it is Linux running on top of Android, the only relevant question, which you dismiss, is: what's under the cover? GUI is irrelevant.
