To massively oversimplify it: The tories are a right-wing party that pretend to be more left in order to get votes. Labour are a left-wing party that pretend to be more right in order to get votes. The tories are never going adopt economic reform in this way because it won’t benefit them. Labour might be more open to it. While it’s great the Greens are on board, they’re a fringe party that will never get into a position where they can affect change on the level that’s needed. I think the best option is to get Labour into power, keep them there, and do everything we can to lobby them into taking action. Vote tactically, not ideologically. Our FPTP system sucks, but it’s what we’re stuck with. You’ll never win the game by refusing to play.
