The "Guns don't kill people, people kill people" attitude has never washed with me. Charge the owners and ban the dogs. Dogs are unpredictable animals, not "tools". A hammer left on its own won't go feral and start ripping children's faces off. Sometimes you can have the most loving, best owner in the world and the dog will still savage someone. Would you say the same thing if people kept lions as pets?

That's because labradors are playful, easy-going dogs with a friendly disposition.

It is the dogs, though. It's not the owners mauling a child to death.

@engineeredlifeform You can kill someone with a tin opener if you try hard enough. A hammer isn't made for the purposes of killing. Guns are.

The trouble with conspiracy theorists is that any evidence to the contrary is just further proof to them of how deep the rabbit hole goes.
1
@NJ-tg7 Nobody thinks they’re a conspiracy theorist. They think they know the truth and people with an agenda are trying to cover it up.

…Andrew Tate, Jimmy Saville, Rolf Harris, Max Clifford, Gary Glitter, Dave Lee Travis… The pattern is that men in power often use that power to sexually abuse women and girls. Like Andrew Tate, Brand knew this was coming and built himself a cult.

Cats are bastards. They kill things for fun all the time. They leave things half dead so they can 'play' with them while they writhe about in agony with their intestines hanging out. The difference is that cats and small and weak and perfectly suitable for pets. Bigger, more powerful animals from the cat family are not suitable for pets. People wouldn't keep a pet lion.

Maybe don’t be a rape apologist.

@Hollyucinogen Well, Sherlock, I’m a similar age to Brand. How young did you mean? You’re the one professing to know that he didn’t do it. Brand is a cult leader. Don’t drink the Kool-Aid.
1
@Hollyucinogen It's a cult of personality. The people in a cult of personality aren't normally aware that they're in it. But there are telltale signs, such as: defending the leader against criticism as a default position, overestimating the influence and importance of the leader, confirmation bias in favour of the leader, ad hominem attacks in place of discussion to counter criticism of the leader, deflecting the subject… the list goes on. Russel Brand, Donald Trump, Jeremy Corbyn, Andrew Tate, Jordan Peterson… all these people are leaders of a cult of personality.

@Hollyucinogen Why do you keep talking about vaccines?
1
@Hollyucinogen re: I bet they’ll accuse him of being a pedo next. He did send a BBC taxi to a school to pick up a 16 year old kid and bring her back to his house so he could have sex with her. If we ignore the alleged rape that followed that, while technically within the age of consent, there’s a nasty abuse of power there.
1
@Hollyucinogen probably? Probably a coordinated conspiracy to bring down the star of Hop rather than a load of vulnerable young women speaking out about a sexual predator? No. It’s probably that he’s a sexual predator. We landed on the moon, the Earth is spherical, and 9/11 wasn’t an inside job. I think maybe you overestimate this comedian’s influence.
1
@Hollyucinogen I’m going to ignore that little story. I’m not interested in his take on vaccines. My friend has a PhD in Immunology and was one of the scientists who worked on the COVID vaccine, so I’ll get my info from her, not a comedian with a YouTube channel. He’s just filling the void that David Icke left when he got kicked off YouTube.
1
@Hollyucinogen Stop talking about vaccines. I have no interest in discussing vaccines with some rando conspiracy theorist online.
