  2. The older we get, the more indistinguishable 'new' music becomes to us. It's all to do with formative teenage years when we're forming our own identity and our brains link dopamine rushes to certain types of music — we connect with a tribe. Those songs may use the same chords, but they sound very different to each other — although maybe not as clearly to you due to your age. Not ageism, just biology.
