  1. It seems that Peterson is such a charismatic character, that he's even pulled the wool over Charisma on Command's eyes. Studying Peterson is like studying a leader of a cult. This video is wrong in its assertion that he listens or concedes to the credibility of his opponents' arguments. He gives the illusion that he is listening and responding, but what he actually does is a clever combination of the gish gallop and straw-manning. It's often enough to confound his opponents, giving the impression that he's won on the grounds of logic. His appearance of wanting to educate and help people is a Trojan horse for reactionary right-wing politics. He grooms impressionable people (usually young white men), and he's very good at it. I recommend ContraPoints' video on Jordan Peterson on for a balanced perspective. And as Peterson became infamous for his opposition to a rule that staff should gender trans people correctly, it's probably worth listening to a trans person's perspective on it all. People who have to live stuff tend to have a deeper understanding of issues that someone who's just thought about it for a bit.
