@Bickle121 I've had to google this now and it seems to be a contentious issue. Some people are arguing that it should be 'octopodes' due to its Greek origin. Unfortunately for the grammar nerds, 'correct' language is primarily formed from how people use it. So to me it's going to remain 'octopuses'. Not that this is a word I see myself needing to use on a regular basis. It's not often I see an octopus, let alone many octopuses that would necessitate the use of its pluralised form.

@Bickle121 'Octopi', like 'cacti'? I didn't know that. I thought the plural was 'octopuses' as I thought only words derived from Latin are pluralised with 'i'. Ah well, I've learnt a new word.
