Well before that it was "Oh hello police. You think my wife might be in danger? Just hang on out there several minutes while I do a few things before I open the door."

He doesn't he says Celeste she IS a tiger. Bella's the calm, nurturing one always asking "you OK, You OK." It's not really in the past tense. At one point he says "Celeste has always been but then corrects himself to say Celeste IS a tiger." But even "Celeste has always been" isn't really the past like someone is dead. You could say that about your living kids. "Celeste has always been the fiesty one" It doesn't indicate death.

There's this one moment when Chris looks at the neighbour in that video with Nate (his neighbour) like "you are really going to be a problem aren't you? You need to stop busting my balls. I want to kill you." It's quite a look. Chris probably doesn't have the courage to fight a grown man though.

@PaddyVieira4 He just didn't want to pay child support and alimony. He wanted to decrease his debts. That's it. That's all it was about. Not even really Nicole K although Nicole K asked less of him than Shanann so that gave him a different perspective on how he could live his life.

No he didn't he mostly said is. And even when he didn't you can use the past tense to describe your kids past actions without meaning they're dead.
18
Suffocating little preschoolers because you're too greedy to pay child support when you have a good job. And he's so stupid he does the younger one first so the older one can kind of figure out something terrible has happened and she said "Is what happened to CeCe going to happen to me and apparently he said yes. He said "I hope I wasn't a horrible person who said yes but I can't really remember." Right. I'm sure he can't remember. Or maybe it wasn't stupidity and was sadism that he killed the older one second. I'm not sure.

“Chris your wife and kids are missing” Chris: "I had to put my water bottle in my truck and my screwdriver in my truck. And my wrench and my putty knife, and my wire cutters and my hammer in the truck. Not that I'd ever hit anyone with a hammer. Ask all my friends I'd never do that. Ask Shanann's friends they'll all tell you what I usually put in my truck which is never dead bodies and I also put my soft pallet and my sandpaper in my truck that's what I was doing when Nate saw me putting stuff in the truck. Ask any of my friends they'll tell you the kind of stuff that I usually put in my truck. Which is never anything shady. It's stuff like wire cutters. Not anything shady. They'll tell you that's not who I am. So anyway I put my water bottle in my truck." Nate: "You never talk to me, Chris. You usually snub me and act aloof and snotty to my family while Shanann talks to me. Why are you talking to me now Chris?" Chris: "You saw me putting stuff in my truck. So I'm just telling you everything I had to put in the truck. I HAD to put my wire cutters in there you know? And my putty knife and my hammer and my wrench. A man has to put a lot of TOOLS in his truck. You know that cause we're both men, friendly men talking together and we have tools!"

Pity the police use it when you're trying to report a crime and they spend time trying to see if they can trick you into admitting some crime so they can arrest you over something instead of caring about the crime you are reporting.

@deltawhiskey1529 That troll hair Steven guy countered it.

Yeah he just thought. "No one would suspect me." And then he tells the police a year later that when they gave him the photo of the girls he didn't recognise the dresses they were wearing. Which means during the original interview he lied about doing up the buttons on the dress CeCe was wearing because he thought just talking about putting on their dresses and all the details would just make the police think "Oh wasn't him. He's too involved with the girls." He let them know he'd been lying about even that.
4
Even if he had been a good liar he still left their bodies at his own work place. And stuffed Shanann's cell phone down in the couch cushions. And let the blankets just blow away in the wind.
2
I can understand this if you have little kids because the tv remote is probably in the toilet.
2
Ask all my friends!
2
@leezaavalos9159 The rambling is what they want. I really resented them doing it to me when I was a victim reporting a crime.
2
@niggeman5896 The jury thought the drowning in the pool story created reasonable doubt.
1
@shantanuranjan5462 Still much more rare than being caught.
1
I'll bet when Chris wouldn't open the door it's because he was shoving her phone and wallet down the side of the couch so that he could pretend she went on the playdate or left him with the kids because of him wanting the separation.
1
Did you hear Chris has some new lies? He says that NK used crystals and runes to make him do it and that Jim kept ringing her and was probably advising her how to put dark spirits on him and that NK killed the kids and he only killed Shanan these are his new lies which he says will get his sentence "drastically reduced". Hahaha he's so dumb. Poor NK I actually do feel bad for her.
1
LMAO but he thought he was THE BEST. If you listen to the Wisconsin interview he tells him he's always been the best liar since he convinced his teacher he went to China when he was six and then he shows off to Tammy that he tricked her about buttoning up the back of CeCe's dress when he'd never seen her in that dress. Shanann must have bought it while they were away.
1
We all know he was stuffing her phone in the couch.
1
Nicole Atkinson convinced him to go on TV that's why.
1
@vaszgul736 And Chris gives Nate such a look at one point like "you're going to be trouble. I'd like to kill you."
1
Imagine though if your neighbour who is kind of snobby and never bothers to talk to you at all ever even when he's standing there while you talk to his wife..... Imagine that guy's wife is suddenly missing and your snobby neighbour suddenly comes up to you and says "Now when you saw me putting stuff in my truck that was my waterbottle and my screwdriver. And it was also my wrench and my putty knife, and my wire cutters and my hammer and my soft pallet and my sandpaper. I HAD to put all that stuff in my truck OK? So that's what you saw me doing. It was my waterbottle and my screwdriver. And my wrench and my putty knife, and my wire cutters and my hammer and my soft pallet and my sandpaper. You know I HAD to put those things in my truck. That's what you saw me doing right? OK.." The neighbour's like ummmmm?

I would give anything just to get the regular smell back. I want it back so bad. So bad!
1
Wow. Not pulling away after dropping Shanann off, so she can make sure that Shanann is safely inside is really ironic.
1
@depgabby He's pretty dumb to leave everything to the last minute. He didn't even have a plan for what to do about Shanann's phone and then the police turn up and he says to them "just a minute" and shoves her phone in the couch cushions while the police are standing outside the door. And then when he lets them in it's not even the police who find her phone I think it was Nicole A's son just reaches in the couch cushions and pulls it out. Was it sticking up a bit so Nicole's son finds it? And if he had a halfway thought out plan.....I mean why would you dispose of your own murder victims at your own work place.. He has never watched a true crime doco in his life. He had no idea how the police do anything.
1
@Silkysmooth-qk5nc So he was going to type that up on their home computer. It was going to show as being done after they were supposed to have left. Chris never watched any true crime in his life and never read any books about how police do anything that's for sure. Or if he did he didn't take anything in.
1
And when they come to visit him a year later to try and get more details they say "we don't want to keep you all day and want to let you get back to what you were doing. -----which was sitting in solitary confinement next to a toilet.
1
@thegreatone11 That's what the guys say anyway. Four times a day.
1
An innocent person who loved his kids wouldn't be saying "I'd never do this" He'd be saying "look you need to find them first and I don't care what you think of me but just focus on finding them immediately!!"
1
Actually he did get to do that after the police left before they came back and asked him just to come down and have a chat with them.
1
@bigbadalastor He didn't get a phone call. Instead only hours after the murder all her friends started blowing up her phone about how she hadn't been in touch with them or on social media and he said "For goodness sakes she's on a play date. I'm at work I'm busy! But they kept texting and threatening to kick in the door and call the police. He said "Please don't kick in the door, please don't call the police! Fine I'll ask to leave work early I'll be home in 45 minutes." He came home to police at his door and had to open up for them.
1
He didn't get a call from the police he got texts from her friends saying that if he didn't come home and sort it out they were kicking his door in and calling the police and he was all "She's on a play date! I'm at work! I'm busy! Then he begged them not to kick down the door OR call the police. But they said they were going to so then he said "Look don't I'll ask to get off work early and be home in 45 minutes." But by the time he got there they'd rung the police.
