  1. I wonder what De Rudio thought when in 1870, Napleon 111 and Empress Eugene went into exile, to England. Specifically Chiselhurst in Kent. Thier son Louise Napoleon, was killed serving in the British Army in 1879 in a skirmish with Zulu's. Re Devils Island: probably the most famous prisoner there, was Alfred Dreyfus.

  2. Ironically, in 1870 Napoleon and Eugene went into exile. At the invitation of Queen Victoria, they settled in Chiselhurst Kent.
