  1. I had a similar experience with veterans at Normandy . we were at one of the Cemetries at Ver Sur Mer, standing in silence. Two young children ran in laughing, one adult started shouting at them to be quiet. One of the veteran's yelled ';Leave them alone! These men died so chilldren could laugh. tears in the eyes typing this .

  5.  @Cloudman572  My 2 1944 Dodges a WC51 and WC 54 are why I was there. I'm from Jersey in the Channel Island's which was Occupied from 1940 till May 9th 1945. Parents , teachers and adults who influenced me, a lot had lived through it Including one lady who was an Auschwitz survivour, and another who as teenager had been one of the Occupiying forces. The gentelest man you could ever meet. The lady we were all petrified off:-) There is a memeoriaal to Russian POW's who died building the Island's defences. On the Northern most of the archepiligo Alderney was Camp Sylte, a Nazi Concentration camp. on Britsh Soil.

  8. USA was never occupied, neither was , most , of the UK. I come from part of the UK, Jersey Channel Island's, that was. The teachers and adults who influenced me had lived through it. Speack if you see wrong, fight for what is right. and always question anyone who trys to impose thier view on you. ,
