Try visiting Northern France and Belgium around Ypres. The Canadians are not forgotten. On 11th November 2014, I wa sprivigiliged to be in Ypres at the Menin Gate . A detachment of the Canadian military marched through the gate. Then sand Dannny Boy, the poor typing is as a result of the teras at the memory. For Normandy vist Courseulles, and walk along the open air museum on the sea wall.

No, the losses in aircrew showed they were not cowards. Navigation at the time was sketchy at bes, met forcasts, and that is tale in itself, were not the best , winds unpredictable.

Two weeeks won't scratch the surface. throw a stick in any direction, it will land on some historic spot. Normandy is not only D-day and World War 2, there is alot more. Go on a diet before the trip, The Normon's are very proud of their food , and don't forget the Clavados. Juno and Goldbeach musuem at Ver Sur Mer, also the first place American Transatlantic Air Mail landed. If you haven't seen it , look up the Mulberry Aramonches 360 cgi on you tube. It is amazingly detailed and the countryside truly accurate.
