  6.  @Rosiebeatle  I used to work as a Process Server, that is somone who serves Court Documents. I found quite by chance that the British stereotype is alive and well. I smoke a pipe , have done since my late teens. On one occasion, when you still could , I was waiting at King's Cross Station late at night. for those not in the know a single man standing late at night at King's Cross is automatically subjet to some speculation. Any way a woman came across the concourse , past other woman, and other men smoking ciggarettes and asked me about a train. As it was I hadn't a clue, but out of curiosity I asked why she had come up to me. Her repliey 'Well my Grandfarther smoked a pipe'.

  8. You say from scratch, but did you plant and grow the wheat, mill it to flour Etc. Etc. Modern life depends on the avilability of prepared food stuffs.

  9.  @thetowndrunk988  No you don't ,you have no knowledge how the grain was grown or proccesed, or any other ingredient. What addatives have been put in, how they were manufactured. What I'm pointing out is like it or not, modern society couldn't exist with out commercially processed food.

  11.  @thetowndrunk988  Exactaly, a basis of settled society is some produce the food and others can then develop tools , art, music. The downside is it does lead to vunerabilities in society. But I wouldstill stay you are starting with a seperate pile of ingredients, bought or aquired as individual componets,where as if you buy a Cake mix, your getting it in a single use kit. No difference.

  12. My Mother isnsited that I , her son, learn to cook. Has stood me in good stead over the years. Nothing fancy , but I can feed myself, and when I get time I find it relaxing.
