  3.  @nemosis9449  I was lucky enough to meet a Royal Navy Veteran in Normandy at the 70th Anniversary. He said to me 'Stop calling me Sir, I was only a Snotty (Midshipman) . He also had us in stiches with his stories, all about how he had made a fool of himself. What else should I have called him? Sir was the least of the respect he was due.
